hi, is it possible to use a n hdd to backup all your file 1:1 , every single one of them and then break a raid then format one of the raid drives to the letter your boot drive used to be?
Backup file -> different sized hdd with drive letter of original boot drive _> windows xp moved.
because i'm running a raid 0 i want to break the raid yet keep the xp and ust the other hdd for vista x86 and x64

moving xp to make space
it is possible to use an hdd to back up all your files and the OS. duplicating the partion is the easiest way. once the partition is fully duplicated on the new hard drive, then you can delete the old partition. you need 3rd party software to do it though and its not cheap. if you try to manaully copy all of the files from the partition to another, the os may not work anymore.

Acronis Home 9.0 costs $30 via download (you can get it shipped for $34+shipping) and works great. Michael

i got one from noton but right now it costs like $78.00 but i got it from a 3rd party site for a lot cheaper. Norton PartitionMagic 8.0 is a good one. it can be used within windows or you can boot it up from a floppy before windows starts up. just do a google search for disk partition software and get one that seems good to you.
